Transporting
1. Transport only with a tractor of sufficient size and
horsepower for handling the attached implement.
2. Disengage power take-off before raising the
implement to transport position.
3. Select a safe ground speed to transport. Never
transport with an attached implement above 20 mph.
4. Reduce tractor ground speed when turning and leave
enough turning clearance to make sure implement
does not contact obstacles such as buildings, trees
or fences.
5. Shift tractor to a lower gear when traveling over rough
or hilly terrain.
6. When traveling on roadways, transport in such a way
that faster moving vehicles may pass you safely.
Operating Instructions
Once you have familiarized yourself with the Operator’s
Manual and properly attached your Kubota K-Hitch to the
tractor, you should be just about ready to start
‘‘management and handling’’ of your compatible
implements.
If you are going to gain the benefit of owning a Kubota
K-Hitch you will need to park your implements on a firm
surface ensuring that the hitch pins and driveline stub
shaft remain upright and oriented for future K-Hitch
alignment and attachment. This K-Hitch is simply a better
way to manage your time, implements, and investment.
Now you are ready to use your K-Hitch. Start your tractor
and raise your K-Hitch high enough to allow you to reach
the lock handle. Pull the handle up until it locks into
position. This will allow the two frames to unlock from
each other. Slowly back up centering the K-Hitch with the
implement you want to connect. Lower the K-Hitch until
the top hitch point is below the implement top hitch point.
You are now ready to connect your K-Hitch to the
“Connect Implement to K-Hitch”
on page 14.
For operating instructions of your compatible implement,
refer to your compatible implement Operator’s Manual.
When you are ready to disconnect the implement,
position the implement over a firm surface or prepared
docking point that will keep the implement properly
oriented for future connecting. Refer to
on page 16. With a little
practice you should get very good at connecting and
disconnecting quickly.
