DANGER
!
To avoid serious injury or death:
•
A crushing hazard exists while connecting and
disconnecting the implement. Keep people and animals
away while backing-up to or pulling away from, the
implement. Do not operate hydraulic controls while a
person or animal is directly behind the power machine or
near the implement.
•
Do not engage power take-off while connecting or
disconnecting the driveline, or while someone is standing
near the driveline. A person’s body and/or clothing can
become entangled in the driveline.
•
Keep all persons and objects clear while any part of the
machine is in motion. A person can be pinched or crushed
by the machine.
CAUTION
!
To avoid minor or moderate injury:
The Lock Handle has an area where pinching can occur. Keep
hands, fingers, and any other body parts away from the
pivoting area of the lock handle. Always use handle grip.
Refer to Figure 1-5:
1. Move implement to a suitable place for storage on
solid, level ground.
2. Raise K-Hitch slowly until the implement is off the
ground. Continue raising until the lock handle can be
reached from the tractor seat.
3. Pull lock handle up until it is locked in upright
position. The auto-lock hooks will recess into the K-
Hitch frame.

Refer to Figure 1-6:
4. Slowly lower the K-Hitch until implement is on the
ground.
5. Continue lowering the K-Hitch until it separates from
the implement.
6. Once separated, slowly move the tractor forward,
while lowering the K-Hitch enough to clear the
implement hitch points.
7. Continue to move forward until the K-Hitch is clear of
the implement.
