Installing the Broom's Chain on the Subframe
(Figure 12)
1. After completing the installation of the
broom (see operator's manual of the
broom), raise the broom to its maximum
using the hydraulic cylinder.
2. Attach the chain clevis (item 1) to the
female hitch of the broom (item 2) with the
3/8"NC x 1 1/2" lg. hex. bolt (item 3) and the
3/8"NC hex nut (item 4).
3. Attach the chain retaining plate (item 5) to
the subframe pin (item 6) with the 3mm x
65mm lg. hairpin (item 7). Always use
position "A" of the retaining plate.
4. Adjust the chain so the male hitch is at 3" to
3 1/2" from the ground when it's lowered
and supported by the chain.
IMPORTANT: Always place the valve in
floating position when lowering the broom.
Do not apply any pressure on the cylinder
since the chain could be damaged.
