• An accident may occur if the tractor is suddenly
braked, such as by heavy towed loads shifting
forward or loss of control.
• The braking characteristics are different
between 2 and 4 wheel drive. Be aware of the
difference and use carefully.
• When driving on icy, wet or loose surfaces,
make sure the tractor is correctly ballasted to
avoid skidding and loss of steering control.
Operate at reduced speed.
• Before operating the tractor on the road or before
applying the parking brake, be sure to interlock the
right and left pedals as the following figure.
• Field operations only:
Use individual brakes to assist in making sharp
turns at slow speeds. Disengage the brake pedal
lock and depress only 1 brake pedal.
• Be sure brake pedals have equal adjustment when
using locked together.

3.4 Clutch pedal
WARNING
To avoid personal injury or death:
• Sudden release of the clutch may cause the
tractor to lunge in an unexpected manner.
The clutch is disengaged when the clutch pedal is fully
pressed down.

IMPORTANT :
To help prevent premature clutch wear:
• The clutch pedal must be quickly disengaged
and be slowly engaged.
• Avoid operating the tractor with your foot
resting on the clutch pedal.
• Select proper gear and engine speed depending
on the type of job.
3.5 Main gear shift lever and range gear
shift lever (L-M-H)
The main gear shift lever pattern is in the form of an
“H”
. The range gear shift lever moves in the form of an
“I”
in 3 stages,
“HIGH”
,
“MIDDLE”
and
“LOW”
. By
combination of using the main gear shift lever and the
range gear shift lever, 9 forward speeds and 3 reverse
speeds are obtained.

(D) Neutral position
IMPORTANT :
• To change speeds, press the clutch pedal
completely down and stop the tractor before
attempting to proceed with speed change.
