6. Commissioning according to EN81-20
The requirements for commissioning the PSU01 for performing safety-relevant functions according to
EN81/20 or 50 are described below.
6.1 Requirement
To fulfil the safety functions, the PSU Evaluation Unit must be connected to the Ants LES01 position
system, which meets the requirements according to EN81-20.
The PSU Evaluation Unit may only be used in conjunction with the safe
position reading system Ants LES01.
If you have any further questions, please contact the manufacturer.
The following measures must be taken prior to commissioning.

The hardware must be operated accor-
ding to specifications
The operating conditions are documented in the operating
instructions and must always be observed.
Installation of the PSU Evaluation
Unit in an earthed or double insulated
housing. The PSU Evaluation Unit must be firmly mounted in the
cabinet or roof control box.
Correct installation and commissioning
of the Ants LES01 See the encoder operating instructions for this
(R60200.0009)
Correct integration of the door zones The door zones must be integrated as described in chap-
ter 5.3. They can be used to detect the UCM zone for the
integration of an additional external UCM Evaluation Unit
(see point 2.1.7 Door zone relay).
Correct integration of the safety circuit The safety circuit must be properly integrated at the
location of the limit switches and be bypassable by the
recovery operations.
Control recovery is forbidden in case of an active UCM
event and in inspection mode in the areas of the limit
switches.
Correctly integrated safety circuit
pickup The safety circuit must be properly integrated at the loca-
tion of the door contacts (see 5.3).
Correctly integrated relay for tripping
the UCM actuator The UCM trip unit must be correctly integrated according
to the actuator specifications.
Initial maintenance All recurring maintenance steps must be performed during
the initial commissioning.
