Air Purge
1. The Air Purge is designed to flush out all treatment from the chemical entry into the Atomizer housing
after the pumps have stopped pumping liquid.
2. The Air Purge can be run through the AutoTreat system either in hand or as part of the program.
Depending on site constraints and/or conditions, it is also possible that a manual air valve is in place
and will be controlled solely by the operator, not by the control system.
Liquid Plumbing
1. For correct and reliable operation, all liquid plumbing components must be kept clean and
unrestricted. Flexible lines should not be installed with twists or sharp bends.
2. Be sure to keep the static mixer mounted above the liquid manifold and the check valve assemblies
mounted at the liquid manifold inlets clean. Some disassembly of the check valve assemblies may
be required to ensure all components inside are in clean working order.
Daily Best Practices
Automation
1. Turn power on if you powered off the night before. When cycling power for any reason,
remember to cycle power on both the AutoBatch main panel and the AutoTreat panel.
2. Make sure that the E-Stop button is released.
3. Check to make sure that air compressor is on and that the air pressure is set between 90 and
100 lbs on the air manifold.
Equipment Check
1. Ensure the scale is weighing accurately, using a known weight, and make sure that the scale
is zeroed correctly (zeroed with an empty box if emptying directly from a box).
2. Run the Atomizer and SMX Conveyor to ensure that they are operating correctly.
3. Open and close the box stand gate to ensure that it is operating correctly.
Mix/Recirculate Liquid and Calibration
1. Mix/Recirculate liquid as recommended by the products manufacturer
2. Calibrate flow meter through automation
Prime Liquid Lines
1. Before beginning to treat, ensure that there is liquid all the way to the atomizer by jogging or
running the pump until the liquid is just dribbling onto the atomizer disk.
