Installation at Site

5.1

Safety regulations

DANGER

Installation in potentially explosive atmospheres

Explosion hazard!

▷

Do not install the pump in potentially explosive atmospheres.

▷

Observe the information given in the data sheet and on the name plates of the
pump system.

5.2

Checks to be carried out prior to installation

Place of installation

WARNING

Installation on foundations which are unsecured and cannot support the load

Personal injury and damage to property!

▷

Make sure the foundation concrete is of sufficient strength (min. X0 to
DIN 1045).

▷

Only place the pump set on a foundation whose concrete has set firmly.

▷

Only place the pump set on a horizontal and level surface.

▷

Refer to the weights given in the general arrangement drawing.

CAUTION

Non-compliance with permissible cable bending radius

Damage to the cable!

▷

Observe the permissible minimum bending radius indicated in the
manufacturer's data sheet; consult KSB, if necessary.

1. Check structural requirements.

All structural work required must have been prepared in accordance with the
dimensions stated in the outline drawing/general arrangement drawing.

2. When selecting the place of installation make sure that connections 6B, 10E and

11E can easily be accessed during pump operation.

5.3

Installing the pump set

The pump set can be installed in either horizontal position or vertical position (with
the motor on top or below).

Other installation types only after consultation with KSB.
