The twine brakes (4) are located in the twine box. The tying twine (1) is held under tension by
the setting screws (2) above and below. Different types of tying twine may have different friction
properties. The drawing tension of the tying strand must be checked when you start using a
different type of tying twine. It should always be set to a high enough level so that the twine
tension springs do not interfere with the swing angle. The dimension of the compression spring
is based on the tying twine selected and must be determined in each individual case by testing
in the twine strand.
Setting the twine brake (perform setting always both sides):
1.
Clockwise rotation of adjusting screws (2) (higher spring pretensioning (3), bigger braking
power).
2.
Antilockwise rotation of adjusting screws (2) (higher spring pretensioning (3), bigger
braking power).
Note
The twine has always to be hold under tension in order that a correct cutting off by the knifes is
ensured.
Do not tighten the brake to the extent that the twine slips through the rubber roller when
starting.
Note
The setting of the respective compression spring has possibly to be carried out in different ways
in order that the cut off twine ends indicate the same length.
