8.3
Setting the MACHINE ADDRESS
Press the MENU button until you reach the Setting the MACHINE
ADDRESS command. Choose the stand alone or the large matrix
setting.
You set the MACHINE ADDRESS using the OUTkeys # 1 to 9, and 10
(for 0). The OUTkeys function on a decimal-basis, and not on a
positional-basis. For example, to enter the # 15, press # 1 followed by # 5
(not # 15).
You can change the MACHINE ADDRESS from:

The stand alone setting to a large matrix setting (see section
8.3.1
)

A large matrix setting to the stand alone setting (see section
8.3.2
)
•
A large matrix setting to a large matrix setting with a different
MACHINE ADDRESS (see section
8.3.3
)
Plan your system according to the chart in
Figure 7
before setting the
MACHINE ADDRESS, because in a matrix configuration you need to
enter the highest MACHINE ADDRESS as well as the MACHINE
ADDRESS.

Changing the MACHINE ADDRESS from Standalone to a Large
Matrix
To set the MACHINE ADDRESS:
1. Press the MENU button until you reach the MACHINE ADDRESS
command.
The MATRIX Display shows the message:
MACHINE ADDRESS
setting yes -> TAKE, next -> MENU
2. Press the
TAKE
button.
The Displays show the messages:
OUTkey 1: Stand-Alone UNIT
2: Large Matrix
