SP-1G - Overview 

 

Switching audio between three separate non-synchronous SDI inputs even if the 
standards of these signals differ, as long as they belong to the same group.  

More specifically, the

 SP-1G

Cross standard conversion

Image scaling

Two SDI inputs and outputs 

•

 

One dedicated SDI genlock input and one analog genlock input with LOOP 
output

Clean Switching video (glitch-free switching) and Soft Switching audio 
functions

Automatic standard detection 

•

 

TBC operation with continuous, uninterrupted syncs on the output, even 
when there is an input glitch 

•

 

An audio embedder/de-embedder that handles 16 audio channels 
simultaneously 

•

 

A built-in test signal generator that provides special video test signals as well 
as a 1kHz (–18dBFS) audio sine wave for all 16 SDI audio channels (all 4 
groups simultaneously) 

•

 

A two-line, 16-character per line LCD display that shows the status of the 
device while in the main mode of operation 

•

 

Nine front panel buttons to control operation of the device  

•

 

One RS-232 port for controlling the 

SP-1G

 from a serial remote control
