Command Usage
• Security filtering discards any non-VoIP packets received on a port that are
tagged with the voice VLAN ID. VoIP traffic is identified by source MAC
addresses configured in the Telephony OUI list, or through LLDP that
discovers VoIP devices attached to the switch. Packets received from
non-VoIP sources are dropped.
• When enabled, be sure the MAC address ranges for VoIP devices are
configured in the Telephony OUI list (
voice vlan mac-address
, page 4-249).
Example
The following example enables security filtering on port 1.
switchport voice vlan priority
This command specifies a CoS priority for VoIP traffic on a port. Use the
no
form to
restore the default priority on a port.
Syntax
switchport voice vlan priority

- The CoS priority value. (Range: 0-6)

Command Usage
Specifies a CoS priority to apply to a port’s VoIP traffic on the Voice VLAN.
The priority of any received VoIP packet is overwritten with the new priority
when the Voice VLAN feature is active for a port.
