Risk of injury! Risk of damage! Proceed
with care!
The PIX may be operated only, if there
is no risk to objects or persons!
As soon as the drive battery and the
motor are connected to the PIX,
extreme caution must be taken! The
motor could start up without warning!
(e.g. due to faulty operating or electrical
defect).
Ejected propeller parts and even an
electric motor can cause serious
injuries!
A damaged PIX can function faultily
or malfunction and may therefore not
be used anymore!
Do not attach the PIX with cable
binders, or similar things. Electronic
parts may be damaged!
The battery and motor cables of the
PIX should not be extended! Con-
firming to legal regulations is other-
wise not given anymore.
The PIX may be powered only by
NiCd, NiMH, LiPo or lead batteries!
Running
on
main
adapters
is
permitted!
The PIX may not be connected to a
110V or 230V AC network!
The PIX may be operated only in an
environment, where there is no
discharging of static electricity!
Current readings may be done only
whit a clip-on ammeter!
Looped-in
measuring devices or shunts can
damage the PIX.
The PIX always needs to be suffi-
ciently cooled!
This is especially
important, when using batteries with
higher capacity.
The PIX may not be disconnected
from the battery as long as the motor
is still rotating.
When using the BEC always use a
charged receiver battery in parallel!
A
simple error like power interruption or
loose contact could otherwise lead to a
malfunction of the receiver system.
On model planes with BEC a test
should be done on the ground before
the first flight in order to ensure that
the BEC load is sufficient for the
respective application!
3.
Features of the PIX ESC
The PIX is designed for brushless motors. It
works without sensors in the motor and has
very sensitive control characteristics and a
smooth start up!
The PIX has an automatic adjustment of mo-
tor timing - no manual adjustment is needed.
Several functions as start up protection at
power up, over temperature protection, over
current limitation are implemented.
Auto adjustment of the under voltage cut off
according to the cell count is standard.
The EMF-brake is possible to switch off. The
PIX has unlimited part load capability due to
the active free wheeling circuit.
An acoustic start up signal, with shows
whether NiCd/NiMH or LiPo Mode is active.
LED or audible signal monitors the
adjusting.
