IDE Detect Time Out (Sec)
Set this option to stop the AMI BIOS from searching for IDE devices within the specified number of seconds. Basically,
this allows you to fine-tune the settings to allow for faster boot times.
Low settings can cause unreliable detection!
Possible settings are: 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and
35
.

This is the optimal setting for systems whose onboard controllers point to a specific IDE device in the AMI
BIOS.

Set this option to stop the BIOS from searching the IDE Bus for IDE devices in five seconds.

Set this option to stop the BIOS from searching the IDE Bus for IDE devices in ten seconds.

Set this option to stop the BIOS from searching the IDE Bus for IDE devices in 15 seconds.

This setting is recommended for all IDE devices that are set to AUTO in the BIOS setting (because a Master
waits 30 sec. max. for a slave device).

ATA(PI) 80Pin Cable Detection
Set this option to define the method used to detect an ATA (PI) 80-pin cable. Possible settings are:

Set this value to use both the motherboard IDE controller and the IDE device to detect the type of
IDE cable present.
Host
Set this value to use motherboard onboard IDE controller to detect the type of IDE cable present.
Device
Set this value to use IDE disk drive to detect the type of IDE cable present.
