RS-422 serial line using five wires and RJ45 connector

An RS-422 serial line connection is a common way to connect the EM 124 to external
devices. An RS-422 serial line connection can transmit data at rates as high as 10 million
bits per second, and may be sent on cables as long as 1500 meters.
