VI. Serial Number Registration
Register the serial number of the FS-503 to the
machine memory.
The location of the serial number is shown in the fig-
ure below.
[For the MFP 105ppm series]
[For the COLOR MFP 65ppm series]
VII. Importing FS Adjustment Data
Import the factory adjustment data of the FS-503 to
the machine memory.
If a FS-503 and other optional units are connected,
they can recover the standard data at the same
time.
VIII. Confirmation of Paper Output
Output paper in binding mode. If staples are skewed
from the center or paper edges are not even, adjust
the settings.
See the Service Manual for adjustment method.
Step
1. Plug the power cord into the outlet and turn
ON the Main power switch.
2. Enter Service mode.
Note:
Refer to procedures in the Service Manual to
enter into the Service Mode.
3. Touch “System Setting” to display sub menus.
4. Touch “M/C Serial Number Setting” from the
system setting sub menus.
5. Touch the finisher No. key according to the
place where it was installed to display the
Serial number entry screen.
* M FS-503: Finisher 1
M other optional unit + FS-503:
Finisher 2
M other optional unit x 2 + FS-503:
Finisher 3
6. Enter the serial number of the FS-503 and
touch “OK”. (Use “Shift” to switch between
upper case letters and lower case letters.)
7. Touch “OK” on the serial number list screen.

6. Enter the serial number of the FS-503 and
touch “OK”. (Use “Shift” to switch between
upper case letters and lower case letters.)
7. Touch “Return” on the serial number list
screen.
Step
1. On the Service mode menu screen, touch
“Finisher Adjustment”.
2. [Finisher Adjustment Menu screen]
Touch “Recall Standard Data”.
3. Touch “Factory Initial Data” on the recall
standard data screen.
