Drive modes
The drive mode controls the rate and method still images are cap-
tured. The drive mode is set in the auto, scene selection, and manu-
al recording menus. See page 36 for information on menu operation.
Single shutter -
to take a single image each time the shutter-release is pressed.
Continuous shutter
- to record three consectutive images when the shutter-release but-
ton is pressed and held.
Auto bracket: exposure
- to make a three-image exposure bracket. Only available in the
manual recording mode.
Auto bracket: focus
- to make a three-image focus bracket. Only available in the manual
recording mode.
Except when single shutter is selected, a monitor indicator shows
the active drive mode.
The maximum rate of capture with continuous shutter depends on
the image size and quality as well as the use of other functions. The
maximum rate of capture is approximately 0.7fps with 5 megapixel
normal images.
The bracketing drive modes are only available in manual recording,
see page 34 on how to change the recording mode. When using the
auto bracketing drive mode, press and hold the shutter-release but-
ton all the way down until all three images are captured. The auto
exposure bracket takes a three images at the set exposure, -0.5Ev
under, and +0.5Ev over. The focus bracket varies the with each
frame: set distance, before, and behind.
