Trouble shooting
Problem
Poor capacity
No capacity but the blower is work-
ing
Cause
Intake nozzle not correctly adjusted
RPM on PTO too low
Belts worn or need tightening
Pipe system not correctly arranged
Conveying air released from pres-
sure side builds up pressure in silo,
hopper, etc., which lacks vent
Material being sucked from silo,
etc., which lacks vent
Moist grain
Dirty grain
Rotary valve seals are worn
Blocked pipe system
Rotary valve stopped due to a
foreign object jamming the drum
Rotary valve stopped due to a worn
or slack V-belt
Remedy
Adjust intake nozzle. See para-
graph “Adjustment for maximum
capacity”
The PTO speed must be max.
1100 RPM
Replace or tighten the belts. See
paragraph “Maintenance”
Se Paragraph “Pneumatic convey-
ing”
Open so the conveying air may
escape
Open silo to allow air to enter
When moisture is high the flow
rate is poor and the capacity is
reduced
Due to reduced flow rate and lo
-
wer specific gravity the capacity is
reduced when handling dirty grain
Replace the seals
Clear the pipe system. See the
paragraph “Clearing a blocked
pipe system”
Remove the object and check for
damage to the rotary valve
Replace or tighten the V-belt. See
the paragraph “Maintenance”
