Warning: for these connections always use a connector
fitted with a ,
- With INDY EVO put all your own weight on the flexible
anchor line. Keep the KONGLINE pulled downwards in
order to avoid
the short initial sliding (fig. 6).
- Act on the lever to reach the desired descent speed. As
the lever is released (e.g.: in case of fainting) or when it
is pushed
beyond halfway (e.g.: in case of fear) the device blocks
(fig. 7).
- if you want to hold the same position for a long time,
mount the safety loop (fig. 8).
Warning:
- Handle the descent in order to be able to maintain
control,
- During the descent the device gets heated up: Use
gloves to protect your hands,
- Excessive or dynamic loads may damage the
KONGLINE.
8.2.2 - Vertical lowering performed by another operator
- Connect INDY EVO at the anchor point and the terminal
with loop (I) of KONGLINE at the harness of the person
to lower (fig. 9). Warning: for these connections always
use a connector fitted with a gate locking device,

Warning: for vertical descents with two people (fig. 11):
- use KONGLINE or rope with a diameter more than 11 mm,
- secure the person being lowered with a second rope, if
possible.

9 – PRE AND POST USE CONTROLS
Make sure that the device is suitable for the intended use
and check before and after each use that:
- Metal parts:
- show no sign of mechanical deformations,
- show no sign of cracks or wear,
- work perfectly - i.e.: the mobile slide-plate (B) can
rotate, the lever (F) actuates the lower drum (C) and
the jamming cam of the rope (E), the safety gate (G)
re-closes automatically when released.
- The KONGLINE (H) is not worn and that the stitchings,
of the loop (I) and the terminal (L), have no cut or loose
threads.
10 – PRODUCT LIFE
In addition to point 5, we specify that the lifetime:
- of Indy Evo is equal to 7500 meters rope sliding, that
corresponds to 75 descents of 100 meters or 150
descents of 50 meters or 35 descents of 200 meters
- of KONGLINE is equal to 75 descents independently of
their length.
