Remove existing fill neck and cap.
4.1 Remove the existing pressure cap and fill neck.
See Figure 5. Save the hardware and gasket.
4.2 Replace the fill neck and cap with the top cover
plate (GM87564) using existing hardware and
gasket.

Install the fan assembly.
5.1 Remove the existing belt.
5.2 Install the fan assembly as shown in Figure 7.
5.3 Route the new belt as shown in Figure 6.
5.4 Install the three belt guard brackets. See Figure 6.
1. Belt (GM87574). Remove and discard the existing belt.
2. Belt guard bracket, LH (GM93388-WHT or -G49), washer
(M125A-10-80), and screw (M933-10025-60)
3. Washer (X-25-40) and screw (M933-06020-60)
4. Belt guard bracket (GM90898-WHT or -G49)
5. Belt guard bracket (GM89277-WHT or -G49)
6. Washer (M125A-10-80), screw (M931-10040-60), and nut
(M6923-10-80)

1. Fan pulley mounting bracket (GM87571). Use the bottom set
and third from the bottom set of holes on the engine.
2. Washers (M125A-10-80 qty. 4) and screws (M933-10035-60
qty. 4). Torque to 65 Nm (48 ft. lbs.)

4. Fan spacer (GM39311)
5. Belt (GM87574)
6. Pusher fan (GM39049)
7. Washers (X-801-4 qty. 4) and screws (M931-08130-60 qty. 4).
Torque to 33 Nm (24 ft. lbs.)
