Oil p r e s s u r e i s the s a m e f o r a l l two cylinder models. P r e s s u r e h i g h e r than specified will not

c a u s e damage; however, i t could indicate o p e r a t i o n with too thick oil. If oil p r e s s u r e d r o p s suddenly,
t h i s could i n d i c a t e t h a t o i l pump i s faulty o r t h a t ckeck valve i s clogged with d i r t o r o t h e r f o r e i g n p a r t i -

c l e s . Other c a u s e s of low oil p r e s s u r e a r e badly worn b e a r i n g s a n d / o r t r a n s f e r s l e e v e s . If oil pump

i s faulty, do not a t t e m p t t o d i s a s s e m b l e a n d

r e p a i r

the pump- - they a r e p e r m a n e n t l y s e a l e d during manu-

f a c t u r e . Replace faulty pump with new unit. An e x t e r n a l oil p r e s s u r e a d j u s t m e n t i s provided on the

K482 and K532 but not o n K662 models.

ADJUSTMENT K482, K532: The adjusting s c r e w is located just f o r w a r d of the #1 cylinder.

If

a d j u s t -

m e n t  b e c o m e s   n e c e s s a r y ,   r e m o v e  a c o r n  nut,  loosen  jam  nut  then  t u r n  s c r e w  i n  o r  out  until  p r o p e r
p r e s s u r e   i s   obtained.  T u r n  t h e   s e t s c r e w  clockwise t o  i n c r e a s e  p r e s s u r e  o r  i n  counterclockwise  d i r e c t i o n
t o  d e c r e a s e  p r e s s u r e .   Adjust  only  with  engine  running  a t  n o r m a l  operating  t e m p e r a t u r e  and  with  p r o p e r
weight  of oil  i n  c r a n k c a s e .   Tighten  jam  nut  t o  lock adjusting  s c r e w  a t  the  new  setting  then  r e i n s t a l l
p r o t e c t i v e  a c o r n  nut.
