1. Prepare the Site
Measure and mark 39-1/2
″
(100.3 cm) up from the floor. This will
be the height from the top of the 2x12 backing material to the
floor.
Secure the 2x12 backing material to the studs with framing nails.
For Vanities Supporting a Lavatory:
Install the water supply and drain lines according to the
roughing-in information provided with your lavatory. The water
supply nipples must extend at least 3
″
(7.6 cm) beyond the
finished wall material.
For All Installations:
Complete the finished wall. Make sure the finished wall is
straight and plumb, and the floor is flat and perpendicular to the
finished wall.
