Setting Active Controls

Before you use the Service Tool you must make the following configuration settings in Internet Explorer

on your LAPTOP COMPUTER

1. On your COMPUTER, open

Intenet Explorer

2. Select

Tools

Internet Options

from the Main Menu bar.

3. Select the

Security

tab.

4. Select the

Local Internet

icon and then press the

Custom Level

button.

5. Under

Active X Controls and Plug--Ins

a. Set

Download signed Active X controls

to “Enable“.

b. Set

Download unsigned Active X controls

to “Prompt”

c. Set

Initialize and script Active X controls not marked as safe

to “Prompt”

d. Set

Run Active X controls and plug--ins

to “Enable”

e. Set

Script Active X controls marked safe for scripting

to “Enable”

6. Under

Cookies

On Internet Explorer 6 select the

Privacy

tab; there is no

section.
