Regular format

Perform a regular format in each of the following circumstances:

●

The CF card is new.

●

You have used the CF card in a non-Leaf digital camera back.

You can format the card on a computer running the Apple

Mac OS

operating system or the Microsoft

Windows

operating system. To read the card, you can use a card reader or the Leaf AF

imaging module.

Note: If you use the Leaf AF

imaging module as a card reader, we recommend that you format the card

on a computer running Mac OS X.

Note: Formatting the CF card erases all data on the card.

Quick format

Perform a quick format in your Leaf AF

imaging module if you have been using the CF card with your

imaging module, and you want to erase all the data on the card or if the card is not performing as
expected—for example, you cannot save pictures on the card, saving on the card takes a long time, or
messages indicate a problem with the card.
