. Your care and good judgement are the best protection against injury, but

always ensure that the appropriate safety equipment is worn. All possible hazards cannot be covered here,
but the most important ones have been highlighted.

Always adhere to the processes and safety
warnings, which are stated in the instruction
manual of your air tools which are used in
conjunction with your air compressor.

GENERAL OPERATING HAZARDS

A l w a y s   e n s u r e   t h e   m a i n s   p o w e r   s u p p l y
corresponds to the power rating on the data label
on the machine.

A l w a y s   p l u g   t h e   a i r   c o m p r e s s o r   i n t o   a n
appropriate outlet that is properly installed and
grounded in accordance with all local codes and
ordinances. Check with a qualified electrician if
you are in doubt as to whether the outlet is
properly grounded.

Always disconnect from the electrical power
supply and ensure that all the compressed air
has been released from the receiver tank before
cleaning or carrying out user maintenance.

Always wear non-skid safety footwear when
working outdoors.

Always stay alert and watch what you are doing.

Always ensure the maintenance of electrical
components is carried out by a suitably qualified
person.

Never operate the air compressor or any air tool
when tired or under the influence of alcohol or
prescription/non-prescription drugs.

Never allow routine to lead to mistakes. 

Never operate if any parts are missing or
damaged.

Never allow untrained persons to operate the air
compressor.

Never touch the metal plug pins when connecting
or removing the electrical plug.

WORKPLACE HAZARDS

Always keep the high pressure hose and electric
cable away from heat and sharp edges.

Always keep children or pets away from the air
compressor, high pressure hose, air tools,
electric cable or the work area.

Always make sure the work area is kept clear of
obstacles, which could cause you to trip or fall.

Always use a RCD (Residual Current Device) to
provide protection against electric shock.

Always make sure the area in which you are
working in has a good flow of air.

Always be aware of excess hose around the work
place. Slip/Trip/Fall is a major cause of serious
injury or death. 

Always ensure all users are physically able and
competent to handle the size, weight and power
of the air tools and have received appropriate
training to perform the task.

Always prevent body contact with grounded
s u r f a c e s   s u c h   a s   p i p e s ,   r a d i a t o r s   a n d
refrigeration enclosures.

Never use plastic pipe for high pressure air line
as it could shatter,resulting in serious injury.

Never eat, drink or smoke in the work area or
whilst using the air compressor.
