• In standard operation mode the red LED flashes once every 40 seconds
• When alarm is in hush mode the red LED will flash once every 8 seconds
• In low battery mode an audible beep will sound together with the red LED flash every 40 seconds.
This indicates low battery
LED INDICATORS
• Pushing the test button in standard operating mode will put alarm into hush mode
• The red LED will flash once every 8 seconds
• This mode is particularly useful for kitchen areas
• The alarm will only stay in the hush mode for approximately 10 minutes and will then reset itself
Note: when using the hush mode the source of the smoke must be monitored
• Mark the location of the fixing holes and drill the holes ensuring not to infringe with any joists,
gas / water pipes or electrical cables
• Fix the base mounting bracket with the aid of wall plugs and screws
• Rotate the alarm clockwise onto the base mounting bracket until it clicks into position
Note: Ensure that the alarm is securely connected to the base mounting bracket. Test each smoke
alarm to be sure it is installed correctly and operating properly.
1: Do not use an open flame to test the alarm. You may ignite and damage the alarm or your home.
2: Test the alarms weekly and when no one has been at home for several days.
3: Stand at an arm’s length from the unit when testing. Test all smoke alarms weekly by carrying
out the following step.
4: Firmly press the test button for at least 5 seconds. The alarm will sound 3 short beeps – wait for
1.5 seconds, then repeat the test and release the button when complete. The alarm may sound
for up to a few seconds after releasing the test button.

LINKING ALARMS
Step 1: On the primary alarm, hold down the test button for 10 audible beeps (approx. 14 seconds)
(entering wireless coding mode). Red LED will be on solid red
Step 2: On secondary alarm, press the test button once (entering learning mode). Red LED will
shimmer approx. 10 times and this will be replicated on the primary alarm
Step 3: Repeat step 2 on all additional alarms that you wish to connect to the circuit
Note: A maximum of 12 units can be connected together within the 30m range
Step 1: Press and hold down test button for 13 audible beeps (approx. 16 seconds) and release, then
press test button twice (the red LED will be off after this process)
