6 Troubleshooting
USE CAUTION WHEN CONDUCTING ANY TROUBLESHOOTING. FAIL-
URE TO ABIDE BY THE REQUIREMENTS SET FORTH HEREIN MAY RE-
SULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH, AS WELL AS DAMAGE TO PROP-
ERTY.
Possible er-
rors Possible causes Notes/solution
LED display
error red Wire
connections Check that all wires are properly connected.
Power supply Check the power supply. When the power LED
lights green, power supply is connected.
Input signal Check if the input signal is actually present.
Output signal Measure the voltage output, e.g., by connect-
ing a multimeter to the test jacks of the out-
put terminals.
Measure the current output via the monitor
output, e.g., by connecting a multimeter to
the test jacks of the output terminals.
Output Measure with a multimeter, e.g., to check
whether the output signal matches the input
signal and the selected measuring range.
Current output
overload Measure the voltage across the current out-
put terminals and measure the output cur-
rent. Calculate the resulting load. The load
must not exceed 600 Ω.
Voltage output
overload Measure the current in the voltage output
loop and the output voltage. The resulting
load must not fall below 1000 Ω.
Signal
outside
specified

range Input overdrive In the event of negative overdrive, a negative
signal is output below the specified output
range
In the event of positive overdrive, a positive
signal is output above the specified output
range
