11.2.1 Flushing the pump
WARNING
Risk of explosion by flushing the pump
with air

When using the pump with explo-
sive media, only permit specialist
to flush the pump with inert gas.
WARNING
Personal injury through poisoning or
explosion and damage to the pump
à
When flushing the pump with inert
gas, ensure that the gas ballast
valve is closed and that no reac-
tive or explosive mixtures form.
à
Before switching off, flush the pump with air at atmo-
spheric conditions (ambient pressure) for about 5 minutes
(if necessary for safety reasons: with an inert gas).
11.2.2 Cleaning the pump
à
Only clean the pump with a damp cloth and non-
flammable cleaning agents.
à
If compressed air is present, blow out the parts.
11.3 Replace diaphragm, valve plates/seals and
O-rings
Requirements

Pump switched off and power cable pulled out of socket
à
Pump cleaned and free of hazardous materials
à
Hoses removed from pneumatic pump inlet and outlet
