Rotary controls set the input levels of the inputs A and B. The input signal can be
amplified by up to 6dB (input level control set fully clockwise) or attenuated to -
(input level control set fully anti-clockwise). Set the level as high as possible, without
clipping, to achieve the highest possible Signal to Noise ratio.
The level meters are for the user to monitor the input signal levels. They individually
indicate the corresponding peak value of each input signal. The input level control
should be set to a position such that the meters indicate a level between -6dB and -12dB.
To prevent internal clipping, ensure that the clip LED's are not lit. Three different meter
indication modes can be selected in the OPTIONS menu, "Normal fast", "Peak Hold" or
"Slow Decay".
In the PLAY mode (normal operation), the 32 x 122 pixel LCD shows the number and
name of the program and the current active configuration. In EDIT mode, the display
shows individual function blocks including their corresponding parameters and
parameter values. Additionally, and depending on the chosen mode, the display also
indicates option menus, status messages, etc..
This key allows the user to enter the EDIT mode. While in PLAYmode, press the EDIT
key, the last modified parameter of the active program is displayed. Using the SELECT
( or
) keys gives the user the facility to select (highlight) the next or previous
parameter in the displayed function block. The value of the highlighted parameter can
be altered by using the rotary PARAMETER encoder.
While in PLAY mode, press ENTER, then pressing the SELECT
key will select the
next program in the program list. While in EDIT mode, pressing the SELECT
key
