b) Pull  the  round  rubber  shields  off  the

eight gas valve shafts.

6.

To remove a gas valve:

a) Remove the control panel from the unit

(see step 3 on page 4-4 for the proce-
dure).

b) Remove  the  ignition  switch  from  the

valve under test (see step 5 on page
4-5 for the procedure).

c) Remove the gas line from the valve.
d) Using a 1/4

 open-end wrench, remove

the screw and rubber washer from the
gas valve.

e) Pull the gas valve off the manifold.

bly wire connector from the main har-
ness.

d) Pull each of the ignition switches off the

shafts  of  the  gas  valves. 

NOTE:

  The

ignition  switches  are  replaced  as  an
assembly.
