DM588 Digital Mobile Radio User Manual

3. Press the Menu/OK key.

4. Select

Remote Monitoring

”

5. Select a contact.

6. The contact

’

s alias or ID, and indication of remote monitoring initiation

are displayed on the LCD screen. The red LED indicator light is on. The radio is
waiting for response from the target radio.

When a response is received,

will be displayed, and the radio will start

receiving audio signals from the target radio until the preset duration is up. Then

“

Remote monitoring finished

”

will be displayed on the radio, and the LED

indicator is off.

If no response is received when the preset times of command sending have
reached,

“

Request of remote mon failed

”

will be displayed and the radio will exit

sending mode.

Note:

While the radio is sending commands and waiting for response, you can
terminate command resending and quit by pressing the On/Off key.
