8. The contact

s alias or ID, and the indication of sending call alert are displayed
on the LCD screen. The red LED indicator is on. The radio is waiting for response
from the target radio.
Note:
If the target radio responds,
“
Call alert succeeded
”
will be displayed on the
sender radio, otherwise,
“
Call alert failed
”
will be displayed.
5.9 Monitoring
This function enables you to listen remotely to the voice and background tone of
another radio. This is achieved through turning on the microphone on the target
radio without voice prompt or visible indication.
To use this function, the radio must be authorized beforehand.
To initiate remote monitoring, perform the followings.
1. In the home interface, press the Menu key.
2. Select
“
Management Function
”
by pressing the Up and Down keys.
