5 Maintenance
5.5 Check and maintenance every50hours
■ Battery check
1. Open engine cover, and check display status
of battery indicator.
2. If the indicator shows white, charge the
battery; shows red, replace it; and blue means
normal.
Supplementary ：
* Two battery types: one needs water
replenishing and the other without water
replenishing; the battery here is the latter one.
* Keep battery fluid away from bodies and
clothes. Otherwise, clean with water. Burn injury
may be caused by battery fluid (dilute sulfuric
acid).
* Stop the engine and put starting up switch on
“OFF” position while checking and removing
battery.
* Explosion may occur due to gas producing
during charging. No smoke and sparkle. Remove
all liquid column terminal in electrobath while
charging.
* Wear protection glasses working around
battery.
■ Drainage in fuel
1. Remove drainage bolt at bottom and drain
water and sediment along with fuel in tank (hexed
subtense length 22mm)
2. Close plug after drainage.

■ Water drainage of oil-water separator
Located at upper left of rear support. Loosen
drainage nut in case of ponding; screw out 5mm
and tighten it after drainage.

Important
● Carry out exhaust after water drainage in filter
(refer to [Exhaust of fuel system]).
■ Replacement of element of engine oil filter
(50h for initial time and 250h afterwards)
1. Replace the element along with engine oil.
2. Remove the element with attached special
wrench for filter.

3. Paint a thin layer of engine oil on type O ring of
new element, tighten it without use of the wrench.
4. Fill the engine oil until regulated level.
5. Let the engine work 5 minutes and check alarm
lamp for any abnormity and then stop the engine.
6. Check oil level again with oil gauge and fill in in
case of insufficiency.
