3.6 Valve clearance adjustment

Caution

Valve clearance inspection and adjustment must be performed on a cold engine.

Remove spark plug, valve cover bolt, valve cover and valve cover gasket.

Insert a feeler gauge in the spark plug installation hole; Rotate the engine so the piston is at top

dead center and both intake and exhaust valves are closed.

Insert a feeler gauge between the rocker arm and the valve and measure the valve clearance.
