DIAGNOSING BATTERY CONDITION
The condition of the battery can be easily
checked by inspecting the charge indica-
tor on the battery. If the charge indicator
is green, it indicates that the battery is
fully charged. If it is black, the battery
needs to be charged. If it is white, the
battery should be replaced.
CAUTION
Add pure water to the battery up to
the prescribed level, as needed. Do
not open or add water if your bat-
tery is labeled as a “maintenance-
free” battery.
When using a battery charger, do
not exceed 10 amps. Excessive
quick-charging will decrease battery
life.
Do not short-circuit the battery
terminals. It may cause battery dam-
age and personal injury.
When disconnecting the battery, re-
move the negative (-) terminal first.
Attach the positive terminal (+) first
when reconnecting the battery.
Recharge the battery every 2 months
when the tractor is not in use.
Always disconnect the negative ter-
minal (-) before welding anywhere
on the tractor or attached
implement.
CHECKING HOSES
Rubber hoses such as fuel lines and ra-
diator hoses will deteriorate even when
the tractor is not being used. Hoses and
clamps should be replaced immediately
if damaged, and every 2 years regardless
of operating hours. Always check to see
that hoses and clamps are tight before
operating the tractor.
CAUTION
When replacing fuel hoses, take
extra care to avoid fuel system con-
tamination which will cause engine
malfunction and injection pump
damage.
WARNING
Replace damaged fuel line and re-
pair any other fuel leaks immedi-
ately to avoid fire and serious per-
sonal injury.
LUBRICATION POINTS
Lubricate all points that have grease fit-
tings with a KIOTI approved lubricating
grease according to the maintenance
chart.
Always add grease before and after work-
ing in water.
