STOPPING THE ENGINE
1. Reduce the engine speed, depress the
clutch pedal and apply even pressure
to both brake pedals.
2. Shift the transmission into neutral and
turn off the PTO.
3. Lower any attached implements.
4. Allow the engine to idle for a short
time before turning it off. Stopping a
hot engine under load or at high speed
may damage the engine.
5. Set parking brake.
6. Turn the key switch to the OFF posi-
tion and remove the key.
1. Turn the start switch to the “ON”
position. Wait until the preheat (glow
plug) indicator light goes off (about 20
seconds).
2. Depress the clutch and continue the
normal starting procedure.
3. If the engine does not run smoothly,
shut down the engine and repeat the
preheat procedure.
4. Allow the engine to reach its normal
operating temperature before starting
work.
HOW TO START IN WINTER
IMPORTANT
Always remove the key when
leaving tractor. It prevents unau-
thorized use and ensures that all
electrical systems are turned off.
WARNING
Touching the muffler, heat shield
or exhaust after running the en-
gine will cause serious burns.
CAUTION
To avoid turbo charger damage:
Do not accelerate quickly right
after engine start.
Allow engine to idle before start-
ing work and before shutdown.
Hydraulic oil serves as transmission
fluid. In cold weather, the oil may be
cold with increased viscosity. This can
cause delayed oil circulation or abnor-
mally low hydraulic pressure for some
time after engine start-up. This in turn
can result in trouble in the hydraulic
system. To prevent the above, observe
the following instructions:
Warm up the engine at about 50 % of
