OPERATION & ADJUSTMENTS
CHANGING THE SANDING BELT
1. Remove the rear plastic cover (Diagram #74) from the sanding belt housing by un-
screwing the two lock knobs (Diagram #75). See Fig.23.
2. Press down on the tracking knob (A) Fig.24 and hold to compress the spring tension,
then slide the sanding belt off the three wheels (A) Fig.23.
3. Install a new sanding belt by compressing the tracking knob and sliding the new
belt onto the three wheels.
NOTE: Follow the directional arrows that are printed on the back of the sanding belt.
The belt must rotate down towards the sanding table.
4. Reinstall the rear plastic cover (Diagram #74) onto the housing using the two lock
knobs (Diagram #75).
5. Check the belt tracking to ensure that the belt is riding on the centre of the wheels.

CHANGING THE SANDING DISC
1. Remove the sanding disc table and the disc lower guard as shown in Fig.25.
2. Peel the used abrasive disc from the aluminum sanding disc.
3. Make sure that the disc plate is clean of any residue.
4. Peel the protective backing from the new 8” adhesive sanding disc.
5. Centre and press the new 8” adhesive sanding disc firmly onto the disc.
6. Reinstall the disc lower guard and sanding that were removed in step 1.
NOTE: Hook & Loop sanding discs cannot be used with this sander! Only 8” sanding
discs with pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) backing can be used.
DISC TABLE ADJUSTMENTS
1. To check the trueness of the 90º angle of the disc sanding table (A) Fig.26, place a
square (B) or other measuring device on the table with the other end against the
sanding disc.
2. Loosen the disc table lock handle (C), and adjust table angle to 90º.
3. Retighten the disc table lock handle (C).
4. Adjust the angle pointer (D) position to 0°.
