With possession of an e-key, you can
lock or unlock a door and even start
the engine without inserting the key.
Function and instructions of buttons
on an e-key are similar to the remote
keyless entry. (See page 3-6 for the
remote keyless entry)
E-key functions
With possession of an e-key you can
lock and unlock the vehicle doors,
and unlock the trunk and the e-key
enables starting of the engine as
well. Detailed information is as fol-
lows:
Unlocking
With all doors closed, when you keep
this e-key and pull a front outside
door handle, all doors are open after
0.5 second.
When the e-key is recognized in the
area of 0.7m~1m from the front out-
side door handle, other people can
also open the door without posses-
sion of the e-key.
Locking
The lock button (in the front outside
door handle), when pressed with all
doors closed, locks all the doors. The
lock button will only operate when
the e-key is within 0.7m~1m from the
outside door handle. If, however, a
front door handle is pulled again the
door will open. If you want to make
sure that a door has locked or not,
you should check the locking lever
inside the vehicle or pull the rear out-
side door handle.
