IV. WHEELCHAIR USE & CONFIGURATION
I. Height Adjustable Pediatric T-Arm
WARNING: These arms offer only a lock against rotation and are designed to bear a
downward force only. They will remove completely if pulled up on and cannot be used to
lift or otherwise handle the chair. Failure to comply with the instructions above may result
in the armrest accidentally disconnecting from the wheelchair and result in a fall or loss of
control and may cause serious injury or death.
How to Use Your Armrest
1. Installing the Armrest (Fig. 4)
a. Slide the armrest post into the receiver on the side frame. Ensure the pin in lever engages
the receiver.
2. Removing the Armrest
a. Push the lever (Fig. 4:A) in towards the side guard panel to release the pin from the
receiver.
b. Pull the armrest straight out of the receiver.
3. Adjusting the Armrest Height
a. Remove the armrest from the receivers.
b. Remove the two 6mm screws from the side guards (Fig. 5:A).
c. Remove the screw (Fig. 5:B) from the side guard post stop through the side guard post,
but do not pull out entirely. Screw can remain in the lever assembly. Repeat on opposite
arm.
d. Reset the post stop and lever assembly on the side guard post to the desired position.
Retighten the screw (Fig. 5:B) and repeat on opposite arm.
e. Place the side guard in the desired position and replace two 6mm screws (Fig. 5:A) to
secure the side guard in place. Tighten the two 6mm screws and repeat on opposite side.
f. Replace the armrest assemblies into the receiver (Fig. 4).
