Chapter 3: Getting Started
3.1 Starting Up

Connect the power adapter to the DVR. See
“2.2 Connecting the Power” on page 13
for further details.

Turn on the power switch on the back panel of the DVR. The DVR automatically powers on and displays the channels
screen.
3.2 Shutting Down
To properly turn off the DVR power, do the following:

In the preview mode, right-click on the mouse to display the pop-up menu.

Select
Main Menu
>
SYSTEM
>
MAINTAIN
, and double-click
Power off
.
You can also access the main menu by pressing the
MENU
button on the remote control or the
Menu
key on the
front panel.

A warning message appears on the screen, select
OK
to turn off the power.

Wait until the “Now you can power off!” message appears on the screen.

Turn off the power switch on the back panel of the DVR and then unplug the power cord from the power outlet.
