2. Installation
The control unit should be installed in a frost free,
dry, weather protected area. During storage and in-
stallation of the system, the pump and sensors
should not come in contact with water. In the case
that the area is in a location at risk of flooding, the
control unit should be installed in a secure place to
assure no flood water reaches it. Before installing
the KESSEL Aqualift F Compact lifting station be
sure that no damage occurred during shipping.
2.1 Installation in a concrete slab/floor
The system should be installed on smooth com-
pact secure base. Insert the included lip seal in
the recessed area of the open upper neck of the
tank and then lubricate / grease only the inner
portion of the seal. Insert the upper section into
the greased gasket. By using the vertically adjus-
table upper section, the final installation height of
the upper section / cover can easily be reached.
The cover / upper section can also be tilted up to
5 degrees to match any floor slopes. The cover

ling patterns on the

Before pouring the concrete floor slab:
- Make sure that the gasket between the body and
the upper section is properly fixed
- Make sure all pipes are properly connected
- Assure that the upper section / cover are in the
desired location / height
2.2 Deeper installation in the floor
(concrete slab)

Depending on the installation depth of the system,
one or two extensions can be used between the
pump body and the upper section / cover. The in-
cluded extension sections gaskets should be pro-
perly lubricated only on the interior of the gasket.
In order to assure proper access to the system, it
is recommended that the distance between the fi-
nished floor and the base of the Aqualift F does
not exceed 80 cm. In the case that a deeper in-
stallation is required, KESSEL recommends in-
stalling the system in a KESSEL chamber.
Installation of the recessed cover:
The recessed top of the cover is designed to be
tiled or filled with concrete whichever better fits
the surrounding floor. If tiles are to be installed it
is recommended that products from the PCI
company are used. In order to assure proper in-
stallation of tiles into the recessed cover, the fol-
lowing instructions should be followed
Installing tiles:
The gray plastic recessed surface should first be
coated with a primer such as PCI 303 primer.
After the primer has dried a tiles adhesive such
as PCI Flex Adhesive is for use with thin tiles
