3 .1 Important information
• The voltage of the type plate and the mains supply must match. The machine may only be connected to AC voltage.
• It is essential that the operator has read the safety instructions.
• With generator operation, the mains voltage must not exceed the specifications on the type plate.
3 .2 Installing the shearing system
It is important to ensure that the shearing system is adequately secured.
3 .2 .1 Mounting / suspension
The shearing system is suspended with a strong rope or chain. The eyelet provided for this purpose should be used for fastening (Fig. 1).
3 .2 .2 Mounting the flexible shaft
• Screw the inner flexible shaft to the motor drive shaft (Figure 2).
• Fasten the connecting cover (part No. 41) to the motor connector (Fig. 3).
• Push the outer flexible shaft into the connecting cover as far as it will go and secure it with the screw (Fig. 4).
3 .3 Switching the shearing drive on / off
Important:
After connecting to the power supply, the shearing drive remains switched off. The shearing system is switched on and off via the cord
(Fig. 5). The drive is switched on by pulling it down once and switched off again by repeating the action.
4 Maintenance
4 .1 Cleaning
Disconnect the power supply before starting any maintenance work. Pull out the plug! Remove oil and dirt from the shearing system with a
dry cloth. Do not use liquids !
4 .2 Service
For safety reasons, the shearing drive should be inspected annually.
4 .3 Lubrication
Lubricate according to the following instructions, since lack of lubrication is the most common cause of unsatisfactory shearing results.
