W h e n t h e V / I - ' C H E C K ' s w i t c h is d e p r e s s e d , the c o n s t a n t -
voltage is indicated on t h e voltmeter and c o n s t a n t current
is indicated on t h e current meter. H e r e u p o n , it is possible to
s e t a desired voltage or current w i t h t h e voltage adjuster
knob ( V O L T A G E ) or current adjuster knob ( C U R R E N T ) .
2 ) V o l t a g e / C u r r e n t c h e c k
W h e n t h e V / I C H E C K s w i t c h is d e p r e s s e d at c o n s t a n t -
current operation, t h e preset current a n d t h e preset voltage
c a n be c h e c k e d .
HOW TO S E T OVERVOLTAGE PROTECTION
(OVP) LEVEL
K e e p i n g t h e O V P C H E C K s w i t c h d e p r e s s e d , t h e o v e r v o l t a g e
protection level indicated on t h e v o l t m e t e r .
(1) T u r n off t h e O U T P U T s w i t c h .
(2) K e e p i n g t h e O V P C H E C K s w i t c h d e p r e s s e d , s c r e w t h e
O V P adjuster w i t h a s c r e w d r i v e r a n d s e t a n o v e r v o l t a g e
protection level.
(3) T u r n on t h e O U T P U T s w i t c h w i t h no load c o n n e c t e d (the
indicator lights). Raising t h e output voltage gradually,
c h e c k if t h e p o w e r s w i t c h t u r n s off at t h e p r e s e t over-
voltage protection level.
(4) S e t t h e o v e r v o l t a g e protection level at t h e m a x i m u m
reading of t h e output voltmeter if o v e r v o l t a g e protection
is not n e c e s s a r y .
USE OF REAR-PANEL TERMINALS
T h e output a n d control t e r m i n a l s s h o w n a b o v e are equipped
on t h e rear p a n e l . T h e s e t e r m i n a l s m a y be u s e d to perform
remote s e n s i n g , r e m o t e control of output voltage a n d output
c u r r e n t , m a s t e r / s l a v e control operation w i t h p o w e r s u p p l y
c o n n e c t e d in s e r i e s or parallel.
REMOTE SENSING
W h e n t h e d e v i c e is c o n n e c t e d t o a l o a d , voltage d r o p s d u e t o
c o n t a c t r e s i s t a n c e at t h e output t e r m i n a l s a n d r e s i s t a n c e of
c o n d u c t o r s . R e m o t e s e n s i n g is performed t o c o m p e n s a t e for
t h e v o l t a g e drop.
