Canopy drive
REGULAR MAINTENANCE
Check and maintain the drive rope after each
tube replacement in order to ensure a trouble-free
operation of the drive.
•
Check the canopy drive: the canopy must stop
in all positions. If not, the canopy spring must be
tensioned.
•
Should individual rope wires be spliced, replace
the rope immediately!
•
Use the spray lubricant HHS 2000 to grease the
rope in the area of the return pulley.

Close the canopy.

Remove the front cover of the base
section.

De-tension the spring. Remember
the position of the nut at the spring
tensioner.

Remove the cover of the return pulley. 38.2

Remove the upper rope cover.

Undo the dowel screw of the upper
rope holder. Do not forget to remember
the position of the screw within the
seat opening
(fi gure 39.3, zoomed).

Replace the old rope and fasten the
new one.

Tension the spring in such a way that
the canopy stops in all positions.

Grease the rope in the area of the
return pulley.

Fasten all covers.
