Safety
Basic safety instructions
Read this Instruction manual through before using the care bed.
Keep this Instruction manual readily available wherever the bed is
used.
Ensure that the Quick Reference Guide (pos. 22) is always close
to the care bed.
Perform all procedures described in this Instruction manual with
great care.
Have qualified staff repair any damage to the care bed or its
accessories.
The care bed is subject to the Medical Products Operator Ordi-
nance (MP-BetreibV). Especially note the following paragraphs of
the Medical Devices Operator Ordinance:

Betreiben und Anwenden
(Operation and Use) (MPBetreibV, §5),
–
Aufbewahrung der Gebrauchsanweisung
(Safekeeping of the Instruction manual) (MPBetreibV, §9).
If the care bed is equipped with castors, the brakes on the bed
castors must be locked to prevent the bed from moving.
If the care bed is used to transport a patient, the bed surface must
be set at the lowest position.
DANGER!
The care bed may not be used in potentially explosive areas.
All objects or body parts must be kept out of the movement area
of the bed when operating or adjusting the care bed.
No additional person is allowed to be on the bed when adjusting
it.
In case of unattended children, the sleeping platform must be set
at its lowest, the doors (lattice) closed and locked and the electric
functions switched off.
