10 Troubleshooting
Note
If disturbance arises, a technician authorised by KaVo must be engaged for the re-
medial action.
Malfunction Cause Remedy
Operating light switches off
during operation.
The ambient temperature
is too high.
▶ Maintain an ambient temperature of max. 40 °C.
The operating light is de-
fective.
▶ Check the temperature fuse
▶ With the T version check the touchpad.
▶ Check the proximity sensor.
Sensor malfunction.
Operating light U version
can no longer be operated
via the control panel of the
treatment centre.
Wrong setting of the treat-
ment centre in service
mode.
▶ Check the settings in service mode and adjust the
settings if necessary.
Disturbance in CAN Bus
connection.
▶ Switch on the operating light and check the flash-
ing duration of the LED V14.

▶ Check the PCB control operating light.
PCBA operating light is de-
fective.
▶ Exchange the luminaire insert.
The operating light does
not work
The supply voltage is lack-
ing.
▶ Check the voltage display LED V23.
▶ Measure the supply voltage 24 V AC.
Firmware is missing or de-
fective.
(If LED V14 flashed after
switching on the operating
light, the firmware is there
and the controller is run-
ning.)
▶ Carry out firmware update.
Wrong setting of the treat-
ment centre in service
mode.
▶ Check the setting in service mode and correct if
necessary.
Changed light colour. Setting of the colour tem-
perature/brightness or dim-
ming mode has been
changed.
▶ Check the settings.
An LED in the lighting unit
is defective.
▶ Exchange the luminaire insert.
The spring arm descends
independently.
Gas spring defective.
▶ Replace the gas spring.
