When installing and operating motor
on dental equipment from other
manufacturers, the following regula-
tions as specified in VDE 0750 and
IEC 601-1 respectively must be
observed:
„Protection against electric shocks“
„Leakage current“
„Non-earthing of user equipment“
Further reference must be made in the
accompanying documents regarding
responsibility for safety, reliability
and performance. See VDE 0750,
subclause 6.8.2. para. b.
Putting Into Operation
A supply of dry, clean compressed
and not contaminated air must be
provided, contaminated and humid
cooling air might cause damage.
Fitting to the supply hose
Lightly spray the O-rings on the supply hose
with KAVOspray. Insert the plug connection
1 into the motor bearing end plate (note the
position of the plug contacts) and screw up
the screw connection 2 in the direction of the
arrow.
Spray water regulation
The spray water component can be dosed by
turning the regulating sleeve 3 clockwise or
anticlockwise.
Maximum flow is obtained when the KaVo
mark on the regulating sleeve lines up with
the button 4.
Connecting the instruments to the motor
Attachable are all instruments with INTRA-
matic connection, according to ISO 3964
Do not fit or remove instrument with
motor running, because this may
result in malfunction.
Only use faultless handpieces.
Connection
Fit the instrument onto the INTRA LUX motor
and twist until it audibly slots in. Turn the
instrument until the guide stud audibly slots in.
Disconnection
Withdraw the instrument from the INTRA LUX
motor in direction of the shaft.
