6.5 Disinfection
6.5.1 Manual disinfection
CAUTION
Product damage due to improper disinfection.
Malfunctions.

Use disinfectant in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions!
▶
Perform wipe disinfection only!
▶
Do not immerse product in liquids
CAUTION
Material damage caused by spray disinfection.
▶ Do not subject the DIAGNOcam to spray disinfection.
KaVo recommends the following products based on material compatibility.
The microbiological efficacy must be ensured by the disinfectant manufacturer.
Approved disinfectants:
▪ CaviWipes and CaviCide made by Metrex (intermediate disinfection)
▪ Microcide AF made by Schülke&Mayr (liquid or cloths)
▪ Dürr FD322
▪ INCIDIN liquid
▪ Cavicide
For range of applications, please refer to the manufacturer's Instructions for
Use.

Wipe the surface of the DIAGNOcam and of the tips with a soft cloth and
approved disinfectants for disinfection.

6.6 Sterilisation
CAUTION
Product damage due to improper sterilisation

No hot air sterilisation, no chemical cold sterilisation, do not sterilise with
ethylene oxide!
