4. Pay special attention to the hydraulic fluid.
5. At the end of periods of work or if the machine is not used for a long time, park the machine on a dry, solid surface to
prevent ice forming under it, such as: wood, cement, asphalt or similar.
VERY HIGH TEMPERATURES
Special precautions must also be taken in this case to protect the battery and lubrication system.
1. Use more viscous lubricants in very hot conditions, but not ones that degrade more quickly if subjected to heat. Refer
to the lubrication section of this manual for lubricants suited to high temperatures. Remember that the engine’s heat
dissipation capacity also depends on the amount of oil in the engine casing; check the level frequently and top up as
required.
2. When it is very hot, evaporation can cause a drop in the battery acid level; check it frequently and add distilled water
as necessary.
3. The air circulation around the machine must not be impeded, make sure the air intakes and exhausts are not blocked
by leaves, paper or similar materials.
4. Keep the engine clean of grease and other substances which prevent efficient heat dispersal.
5. Switch off the engine when not working.
VERY SANDY/DUSTY CONDITIONS
Particles in the air can accelerate the wear of the machine’s components; they exercise an abrasive action on moving
parts. To prevent this, lubricate the machine more frequently and service the air intakes and filters more often.
1. Take care not to let sand or dust into the hydraulics; keep the tank well closed and keep an eye on the filter.
2. Do not let sand or dust enter the fuel tank.
3. The engine’s air intakes and the air cleaner must be checked more frequently. The engine oil and filter must be
replaced more frequently to ensure the oil is clean.
4. Before greasing parts with a manual gun, clean off all traces of residual grease. Then pump in a generous amount of
grease so as to clean the interior parts of residues.
5. When working on sandy ground, a support may be required for the tracks.
6. Do not allow them to dig themselves into the sand. To ensure a good support, it may be necessary to back off and fill
the loose area with more compact earth.
7. The increased frequency of maintenance operations depends on the effective conditions of use and will vary from
case to case, in relation to the results of the checks which will show accumulation of dust in the filters and the
intakes.
