4.2.1 Installation of VertiCool In-shaft
1) Use appropriate means (by others) to secure the stud framework to the wall.
2) Fit the heat exchanger brackets with the smooth side facing inward.
3) Check that the spacing of the stud framework complies with the standards or fit it in
accordance with the technical design
4) Use 2 people to position the heat exchanger on the support profile. Secure it to prevent
it from falling.
5) Insert the tabs of the inspection panels into the bridges of the heat exchanger.
6) Attach the inspection panels to the stud framework. CAUTION! Only tighten the screws
enough to ensure that the heat exchanger is capable of being permanently lifted.
7) Attach flexible hoses to the water-side connections of the heat exchanger.
8) Cut a correctly sized recess in the stud framework to fit the discharge grille.
9) Apply two layers of drywall panels to the wall in compliance with the standards.
10) Grille mounting frame as delivered.
11) Manually bend tabs 90°.
12) Latch, screw and retaining washer are supplied loose. Pipe clip to secure the grille is
supplied loose.
13) Fit the latch onto the rear of the mounting frame and secure in place with the retaining
washer.
14) Fit the mounting frame with the arrow pointing downwards.
15) Fit the grille into the drywall panel.
16) Make sure that the latch closes off the drywall panel.
17) Insert the pipe clip to retain the grille in the mounting frame.
18) Press the discharge grille into the pipe clips with slight pressure.
19) Finished dry wall with discharge grille fitted.
20) To disassemble the discharge box, use the tool supplied and pass it through the bars
and remove it with a slight pull.
21) The heat exchanger has handles on both sides for inspection purposes.
22) Heat exchanger installed.
23) Use 2 people to lift the heat exchanger for inspection purposes.

4.2.2 Installation of VertiCool surface-mounted
1) Remove the outer film and packaging cardboard.
2) Position the heat exchanger at the opening of the air duct on site.
3) Fix the gravity cooling system to the air duct 1 using mounting brackets 2 and fixing
screws 3 (not supplied).
4) Screw the discharge grille

to the air duct.
5) The air duct needs to have a load-bearing substructure.
6) Select appropriate screws depending on the condition of the air duct.
7) Pay attention to the weight of the heat exchange and size the screw fixings accord-
ingly.
