Fault Possible cause Measure
The machine runs continuously
but final pressure is not
reached.
Air filter clogged. Service or replace the air filter.
Valve plate leaking air or conta‐
minated.
Call KAESER SERVICE.
Broken pressure valve reed. Call KAESER SERVICE.
Machine leakage. Seal the leaks or replace the
relevant components.
Leakage from an air consumer
connected to the compressed
air network.
Check possible leakage points.
The compressed air demand is
greater than the machine's flow
rate.
Use a larger machine.
Machine cuts in and out too of‐
ten.
The compressed air dryer
doesn't work properly or is de‐
fective.
Call KAESER SERVICE.
The machine switches off and
air escapes from the venting
valve.
Check valve is defective. Replace spare parts (mainte‐
nance KIT) of the check valve.
The venting valve loses air
while the machine is running.
The pressure builds up too
slowly or not at all: the venting
valve is defective.
Call KAESER SERVICE.
Pressure does not build up: the
solenoid valve or the timer
module are defective.
Call KAESER SERVICE.
Air leaks from the pressure
switch while the machine is run‐
ning.
Defective pressure switch dia‐
phragm.
Call KAESER SERVICE.
Venting valve defective. Call KAESER SERVICE.
Whistling sound from the cylin‐
der head.
Cylinder head fixing screws
loose.
Gasket defective.
Call KAESER SERVICE.
Replace gasket.
The safety valve blows off be‐
fore the cut-out pressure is
reached.
Pressure switch incorrectly set. Call KAESER SERVICE.
Valve spring defective.
Replace the safety valve.
Dirt or foreign bodies on the
valve seat.
Let the safety valve blow off
briefly.
